I could not put this book down. Aida was so head strong and determined to do whatever she felt was right. She was brilliant and spoke so freely with the Griffin family that you thought she was born from them, she held no fear. Her love story was amazing and getting to see both sides of the story was even better. The author adding graphics as she does to most of her novels also added to the story. I would love to continue this series as I thoroughly enjoyed every piece of it and got it done in one day.
I loved everything about this book. I read a lot of mafia romances and this is in my top 5. It had me cackle laughing! The FMC is bad ass and hilarious. I like that it didn’t have to end with a pregnancy to have a HEA. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Such a great mafia romance, the enemies to lovers hit so good! Definitely spicy and fun to read. The illustrations were new but fun!
I’m such a suckerrrr for enemies to lovers, the banter, the hate sx 🤭 but most importantly the jealousy when they realize the actually want them. The “you’re mine” will never NOT do it for me! I love love loved this read. It’s not too long, it’s not super repetitive & boring either. Aida is not a doormat so I loved that. And Callum actually treats her well (for the most part) 😂. Also the strawberries & the pool (my favorite scenes) lol You definitely need to pick up this book !

New favourite mafia romance. This book ticked all the boxes. I can’t help but love an enemies to lovers, but this book really had the most flawless transition. They went from absolutely hating one another (to the point that I really questioned if they’d both survive at one point) to respecting one another, to trusting one another, to finally loving one another. It felt authentic. Nothing felt rushed. Aida is an absolute firecracker. She is whip smart and sexy and Callum can’t help but determine that she’s an invaluable asset to him in a short period of time. Confident, observant and calm under pressure, she is one of my favourite main characters ever. Callum is, at the start, bored. Respectful and ambitious, totally. Driven to win, absolutely. But happy? Excited? Definitely not. He finds Aida unrefined and wild at first, but she brings out the best in him before long. This couple was hot! The story was too! This book didn’t just use the mafia backdrop as a stage to enact a romance scene. We get to watch a plot unfold and overlap and I’m expecting it to get more intertwined as the series goes. The story took the characters in unexpected ways and I loved every minute of it. Often in a mafia romance, the heroine is a safe, soft landing for the hero to come home to after all the trials of this life. And I love stories like that as well, because everyone needs a safe space. But Aida and Callum are fighting together, always, towards their future. This is a relationship built on trust and respect and they are hard core equals. This book was also so funny - I laughed out loud more than once and had such a hard time putting it down!
